Educational animation

Meet Fred Watson (Astronomer, Writer and Science Communicator) whose voice and animated alter ego takes us on a journey to teach kids about light pollution, why it matters and how they can help protect our dark sky. We developed Fred’s character in Adobe Character Animator, using the in-camera motion capture animation and lip-syncing technology. With a unique and captivating soundtrack and sound effects.

The NSW Government, Department of Planning and Environment wanted to create an animation in conjunction with the development of the Dark Sky Stage 3 education unit. The animation highlights the importance of protecting the night sky from light pollution and how this will benefit astronomy, birds and animals, ecosystems, and human health.
